Bill Dollahite

President

Founder and visionary behind Driveway Austin with over 30 years experience in the motorsports and high tech industries. Bill retired from full-time competition after reaching the pinnacle of his career piloting the World Championship 333SP prototype for Ferrari. He trained Hollywood personalities and corporate superstars as well as countless new career race drivers. He was the architect for some of the most successful corporate motorsports campaigns today and has pioneered successful, outreach motorsports training programs to mentor at-risk high school students.

Ben Charlton

Lead Instructor / Practice and Testing Coordinator

Ben is a native Austinite. He graduated from Southern Methodist University with a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. He is a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and while at SMU he was on the FSAE Mini Baja team as well as serving as a Resident Assistant for one and a half years. Ben is an advanced graduate of the Skip Barber Racing School at Laguna Seca Raceway. He has been with the Driveway Austin team since June 2007 and has instructed in every class since the inception.  Ben also coordinates and conducts the practice days and testing.

Doc Bundy

Driver School Development

Infectious sense of humor and a relaxed charm with the intense competitiveness of a world champion. Doc started his racing career in 1973, as a technician with the late Peter Gregg's Brumos Porsche Racing Team. He moved to Al Holbert Racing in 1974, where he spent the next five years preparing cars while waiting for a seat. In 1980 Doc began driving for Holbert Racing in a Porsche 924, capturing a National Championship as a rookie. In 1981 he ran a 924 Turbo and proceeded to capture the GTO Category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This impressive achievement brought Doc national recognition, and the chance to drive for Jaguar, Ford, and Chevrolet (Corvette) over the next six years, culminating in a season behind the wheel of an awesome Porsche 962. In recent years, Doc has campaigned cars for Lotus, Panoz, and Porsche.
