Driving School Overview

Most Driveway Austin performance driving courses are designed to be completed in one day. The philosophy behind this is that after a full day in the classroom and on the track, most students are tired and overloaded with new information. This new knowledge needs some time to process and the student needs some time to rest. The Mastery of techniques comes from practice. Weekly, “Open Practice Days” are reserved for Driveway students to practice techniques learned.

In addition to pure High Performance Driving, Driveway Austin is one of the highest rated Tactical Driving schools in the country where we train Law Enforcement, Department of Defense, Secret Service, Military and Executive Protection Officers. We have created an entertaining format that has proven extremely successful with mastering driving techniques in these on and off-road, high stress environments.

Driveway Austin also has created a world class program for the High Risk Teen Driver. This fun, full day program focuses not only on valuable car control techniques but also on the “focus” a driver must maintain to stay safe and in control. Most teen accidents are caused by a lack of forward focus, distraction and panic reaction.
